Job summary

Olympic Eagle Distributing is seeking a self-motivated, sales-driven individual to join our new on-premise beverage distribution team in King and Snohomish Counties. The role focuses on selling and delivering to bars, taverns, restaurants, and venues with a truck driver-sell approach.

You will plan daily routes, manage inventory, build relationships with customers, and maintain a neat vehicle and professional image.

Qualifications

• Sales experience preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid Washington State driver’s license.
• Beverage industry experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 21 lbs and up to 160 lbs.
• Basic computer knowledge is helpful; familiarity with mapping apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Northern Territory Manager in establishing and growing sales of specific beverages in greater King County; selling off a truck driver-sell style.
• Gain hands-on sales experience and grow with the company.
• Plan daily sales for inventory and sales support material.
• Drive to retail locations to service customers per company standards.
• Represent the company while soliciting sales and delivering products from your vehicle.
• Foster relationships with customers and build rapport.
• Deliver beverage products into customer backrooms and coolers.
• Merchandise stores as needed and manage outgoing inventory responsibly.
• Seek additional retailers to grow your route and sales.
• Work Monday - Friday with early starting times.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and equipment.
• Uphold the company's image through quality and service.

GENERAL SCOPE:

Opportunity to be a part of a new endeavor to build and grow our on-premise beverage distribution in greater King and Snohomish County. This new and unique position is responsible for selling & delivering bars, taverns, restaurants, venues, etc. by planning, cold calling and solicitation. We seek a self-motivated, structured, coachable individual looking to be a part of something new and exciting. Full-time union position. Monday-Friday hours. No CDL required.

What you will do:

• Assist the Northern Territory Manager in establishing and growing sales of specific beverages in greater King County; selling off a truck "driver-sell" style.
• Desire to gain hands-on sales experience and embrace an opportunity to grow in the company.
• Plan your next day of sales for adequate inventory on-hand and sales support material.
• Driving vehicle to retail locations to service and maintain in line with company standards for customer service
• Professionally represent the company while soliciting sales and delivering products from your vehicle
• Foster good relationships with your customers as you build rapport with them
• Work your delivery of beverage products, including cases and kegs of beer into customer coolers, storage rooms, and backstock areas.
• Merchandise your stores as needed, sometimes as a non-delivery call back.
• Diligently manage your outgoing inventory balance responsibly
• Seek additional retailers to grow your route and sales
• Work Monday - Friday at early starting time
• Maintain a clean and neat/organized vehicle and equipment
• Maintain company’s impeccable image through actions and appearance, quality and service

Compensation

• $57,386/yr base

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Driving to Warehouse, then to and from Customer locations.
• Customer locations are typically retail accounts and may include but are not limited to the following; independent bars, taverns, venues and restaurants as well as occasionally chain supermarkets and c-stores, independent grocery stores and c-stores.
• Pay listed is NOT inclusive of Pay for Performance Incentives

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally bend. Specific vision abilities include close, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the extensive use of hands and arms to lift, fill, rotate and face product, as well as the ability to reach top shelves of stores.

Olympic Eagle provides company sponsored Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance to all Full Time Employees. Employees are able to enroll themselves and their families in medical, dental and vision insurance. 401k is provided to non-union employees. Union employees will be part of a pension program. Employees will also receive 8 paid holidays and up to 40 hours of vacation after the first year of employment. This will increase to 80 hours at 2 years. We follow the Washington State Sick Leave for sick time accruals.
