Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Colorado Springs is seeking an On-Orbit Test Astrodynamics Engineer to drive mission planning, scenario development, and on-orbit test execution. This 100% on-site role offers a challenging environment where you will lead test operations, analyze results, and collaborate with vendors and engineers to meet customer intent.

Candidates must hold a STEM degree and SCI clearance, with extensive experience in astrodynamics, orbital mechanics, and simulation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM with extensive related experience.
SCI clearance and ability to obtain program access.
Experience with mission planning, orbital analysis, and simulations.
Knowledge of astrodynamics, orbital mechanics, and navigation filters.
Understanding of satellite operations disciplines and GNC concepts.

Responsibilities

Drive On-Orbit Test activities including mission planning and test execution.
Create and review mission plans, perform safety analyses, and plan vehicle phasing.
Coordinate with vendors and engineers to ensure feasible test plans.
Analyze test feasibility, limits, and fuel usage for test scenarios.
Lead on-console operations as Test Director and resolve discrepancies.
