Job summary

Amcor in Hanover, MD seeks a Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations on the plant floor, performing changeovers, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure machines run safely and efficiently.

You will spend most of the shift on the floor, reading electrical prints, troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics, and adhering to GMP/SQF compliance. You will also participate in safety, log updates, and continual improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with troubleshooting pneumatic systems
• Working knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out requirements
• Experience with resin and blending systems is a plus
• Forklift certification preferred
• High school or equivalent education
• Nissei/AOKI/Uniloy/SIPA experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Participates in changeovers, machine PM, and repairs
• Spends 95% of time on the floor with the machines
• Maintains and relates the current status of all production machines on the floor
• Works with shift supervisor to keep machines safe, efficient, and of high quality
• Reads electrical prints and performs basic electrical troubleshooting
• Identifies relief valves and services hydraulics and heat zones as needed
