Job summary

Miami Country Day School is seeking an experienced on-site tutor for students in grades 6–12. The role supports academics, executive functioning, and study skills to build confidence and independence.

The ideal candidate demonstrates patience, organization, and a passion for helping students adapt to varied learning needs while maintaining professional communication with families and the school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five years of tutoring experience preferred, including at least three years outside traditional classroom settings.
• Experience with grades 6–12 and multiple subjects preferred.
• Experience supporting students with ADHD, learning differences, and/or academic challenges preferred.
• Experience providing executive functioning support or coaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapts tutoring strategies, pacing, and instructional approaches to student needs and progress.
• Communicates with students, parents, and administrators professionally regarding progress and needs.
• Maintains an accurate tutoring schedule in the online portal.
• Completes and submits required daily reports.
• Documents student progress and maintains progress-monitoring notes in the designated portal.
• Supervises students on campus in accordance with school procedures for safety and well-being.
