Job summary

Chapman University seeks a Teacher Education Fieldwork Manager to lead fieldwork experiences and student teaching across undergraduate and graduate pathways. You will supervise staff, coordinate district partnerships, and ensure timely credential processing in collaboration with the Credential Specialist.

You will develop operating procedures, monitor data and reporting for accreditation, and manage fiscal aspects of fieldwork while aligning with program policy and academic direction.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills to plan and prioritize work and help students find field placements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to learn enterprise systems and manage data effectively.
• Willingness to supervise staff and coordinate with districts and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely fieldwork placements for all Teacher Education pathways.
• Develop timelines, procedures, and eligibility criteria for fieldwork.
• Verify eligibility, TB clearance, Live Scan, and subject matter competency.
• Manage placements in collaboration with districts and faculty.
• Supervise staff, recruit and onboard university supervisors.
• Assign supervisors to candidates and monitor performance and payroll.
• Maintain fieldwork data for accreditation and reporting.
• Coordinate district partnerships and fieldwork agreements.
• Administer fieldwork financial processes and stipends.
• Communicate updates on credentialing requirements and policies.
