Job summary

Syracuse University is seeking Study Interventionists to deliver telephone-based treatments for HIV patients as part of the ACCEPT study. You will train in BI or ACT, manage a 1-5 participant caseload, and receive weekly supervision with licensed psychologists involved in the research.

The role requires on-campus presence, with standard academic-year hours and summer adjustments; remote work is limited by policy.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology or related field.
• Demonstrated evidence of basic counseling skills (e.g., Motivational Interviewing).
• Organizational skills and attention to detail; strong verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participation in mandatory 3-4 day training on ACT or BI.
• Delivering the intervention consistent with the ACCEPT study treatment manuals and SOPs.
• Scheduling weekly intervention phone calls with assigned study participants.
• Audio recording all intervention sessions for supervision and fidelity monitoring.
• Ensuring participants are compensated after each session.
• Participation in weekly group supervision with study investigators.
