Parsons School for Design, a division of The New School, seeks student staff for the Red Dog Productions videography team to cover university-wide live events and conferences on campus.

The on-campus position offers hands-on training with producers and faculty, opportunities to build a portfolio, and a rate of $17 per hour. Applicants should be current full-time students with interest in film and video production.

Qualifications

• Current FT active student status.
• Knowledge of film and video equipment.
• Technical knowledge of film and video cameras, lenses, lighting, audio.
• Experience with film and video production procedures and protocols, set ups, studio and equipment maintenance.
• Film editing and software experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, close attention to detail, and strong organizational and time management abilities.

Responsabilités

• Shoot HD video and set up equipment including tripod and mics.
• Using editing software, transfer and compress files; edit footage.
• Audio mixing.
• Lighting setup and design for interviews, streaming and still photography.
• Web and social media for video and photography.
• Training in different areas as needed.
