Job summary

University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) seeks a Psychologist, Generalist to deliver comprehensive mental health services to UCSC students, including intake assessments, brief and long-term therapy, crisis intervention, and campus outreach.

The role supports a diverse student body with evidence-based care, collaborating with CAPS teams, SHS, and campus partners.

Qualifications

• Must hold licensed Psychologist status in California or valid out-of-state licensure in psychology.
• Experience providing brief and long-term psychotherapy.
• Strong crisis management skills for high-acuity campus populations.
• Experience leading outreach and psychoeducation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief counseling and long-term psychotherapy to UCSC students.
• Conduct intake assessments and crisis interventions.
• Develop outreach programs and trainings for campus partners.
• Supervise doctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaboration with CAPS and SHS teams.
