Job summary

Joliet Junior College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Business Law on campus. The position is part-time and contractually arranged for a single semester, under the supervision of the Department Chair.

The instructor will work with full-time faculty to assess students and follow course guidelines. Responsibilities include teaching classes in the designated area, adhering to curriculum and grading standards, attending classes, and meeting contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent from ABA-accredited law school.
• At least two years of law practice experience.
• Availability for 2–4 on-campus classes Mon–Fri 8:00 am–1:00 pm.
• Ability to collaborate with college and community and demonstrate cultural competence.
• Expertise with instructional technologies.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes in Business Law on campus.
• Participate in annual student and chair/coordinator evaluations.
• Adhere to departmental curriculum, grading standards, attendance policies, textbook choices, and assessments.
