Millersville University in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Medium Voltage Electrician for permanent, full-time work on campus. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., and is union-represented under AFSCME.

This on-campus position involves maintaining and repairing medium voltage electrical systems to support campus operations. The ideal candidate brings five years of journey-level electrical experience (or equivalent) and a strong knowledge of building automation and low

Qualifications

Five years of journey-level electrical experience or equivalent training.
Experience with building automation control and low voltage systems.
Ability to service, troubleshoot, modify, and repair electrical systems.
Knowledge of lighting automation and building control components.
Valid driver’s license.
Successful interview and completion of background checks.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair medium voltage electrical systems and equipment on campus.
Review plans and prints; coordinate with contractors and teams.
Inspect and test equipment; interpret logs and reports on power production and usage.
Adhere to safety procedures while working on hot electrical systems.
Operate substations, relays, switches, and breakers; ensure power distribution reliability.
Perform routine maintenance and respond to urgent electrical issues.
