York College of Pennsylvania is seeking a maintenance electrician to support campus facilities. Under supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Director of Facility Services, the role covers electrical, general maintenance and utility tasks across College buildings and related facilities.

The position responds to daily service requests, interacts with students, staff and guests professionally, and ensures facilities are presentable, well maintained and safe for all.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid journeyperson electrician license in Pennsylvania or PA trade program certification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical work.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in the electrical trade.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions.
• Knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Ability to analyze electrical systems and initiate repairs as directed by supervisor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Gmail.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions in English; communicate professionally with students, staff and faculty.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose defects, install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, motors, generators, and circuits.
• Locate and correct power failures and electrical malfunctions; perform emergency electrical repairs.
• Read blueprints, sketches, schematics, and diagrams as needed.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Operate and maintain a range of tools and campus vehicles.
• Coordinate with team members for multi-trade projects to ensure completion.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer service orientation.
• Assist in emergency response events including weather-related operations.
• Commit to on-call duties and respond to emergencies as required.
