Job summary

UC Santa Barbara's Student Health center is seeking a Medical Assistant (HOSP BLANK AST 1 EX) to provide medical and administrative support under the Clinical Supervisor. You will assist physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and other clinicians, handling exams, procedures, vitals, and basic lab tasks in a fast-paced campus health setting.

This 100% time, Mon-Fri, 7:45am-4:30pm on-site role offers full benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses with exams and procedures.
• Take vitals and perform point-of-care lab testing.
• Check in/out patients and handle necessary paperwork.
• Answer phone and electronic messages and follow clinicians' directives.
• Act as a medical chaperone; perform autoclave and laundry duties; run errands.
