Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples for Full-time Flex Houseparents who reside in on-campus student homes and care for a group of about 8–13 students. The role includes supervision, scheduling, medical administration, and planning activities to support academic, emotional, and social development.

Initially, couples support multiple homes with a nine-on/three-off schedule and transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
