Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts Fresno is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor I to serve as the primary interface for students seeking financial aid eligibility, assist with applications, and advise on tuition amounts and loan repayment timing.

You will package awards, schedule them in tracking systems, perform R2TIV calculations, and explain payment requirements while helping students secure a payment plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 2 years prior work experience in financial aid, collections, and lending.
• Customer service experience is desirable.
• Organizational knowledge of educational institutions.
• Registrar experience or support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility for financial aid and assist with applications.
• Calculate tuition amounts and adjustments and counsel on debt implications.
• Package student aid awards and schedule awards in tracking systems.
• Perform Tuition Adjustment and Return to Title IV (R2TIV) calculations.
• Explain payment requirements and secure signed payment plans.
