Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline for credit courses.
• For workforce education degree or certificate courses: a combination of academic preparation and work experience, including three years of direct or related work experience.
• For developmental courses: Bachelor’s degree or higher in the specific teaching discipline and demonstrated competency.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with a written course syllabus.
• Evaluates instructional processes and uses innovative strategies to improve learning.
• Recommends books and materials, revises curricula, and assigns teaching duties as appropriate.
• Maintains accurate and complete course records.
• Performs professional activities and collaborates with the division dean to achieve goals.
• Participates in campus committees and professional development activities.
• Promotes the college within the community and supports transfer of learning.
