Job summary

Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide daily care for residents in a trauma-informed framework. You will supervise residents, support academics, coordinate meals, and collaborate with the treatment team to meet individualized goals.

On-site duties include crisis intervention, transportation assistance, and maintaining accurate logs. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 2 years of direct care experience preferred, and Texas driver’s license is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of direct care experience in residential/juvenile settings.
• Ability to understand children in crisis and provide trauma-informed care.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid Texas driver's license.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Proficiency with computer and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors residents and activities per regulations.
• Serves as a positive role model in ethics and lifestyle principles.
• Implements therapeutic discipline per policy and leadership model.
• Maintains home logs and submits incident reports promptly.

• Supports academic and extracurricular development of residents.
• Supports campus Chapel program and religious activities during duty.
• Utilizes computer systems to complete responsibilities.
• Coordinates with campus programs to support resident participation.
• Provides nutritious meals and supervises meal preparation and etiquette.
