Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this life-changing role, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students.

The position includes developing routines, managing schedules, supervising, leading devotions, driving to activities, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role over time.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or volunteers in similar settings.
• Two-year minimum marriage required for couples.
• Both spouses 27+ years old and legally married for at least two years.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
