Job summary

Mercer University is seeking an Athletic Department Tutor to provide individual academic guidance in ARC or Willet Science Center during scheduled hours and by appointment outside of those hours. Tutors support students in designated courses where they have completed the coursework and earned a B or higher, plus a departmental recommendation.

The role requires at least a 3.0 GPA and sophomore standing or higher, with I-9 verification for employment. Pay rate is $10.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and sophomore standing or higher.
• Complete coursework in designated disciplines and have earned a B or higher in Mercer University course (or equivalent).
• Must obtain a signed recommendation from the corresponding academic department.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual academic guidance and modeling for students who come for appointments.
• Tutor students who drop in during scheduled hours and be available outside those times for appointments.
