Job summary

Grand Canyon University invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction at our Phoenix campus for the Spring 2027 semester. The course, Advanced Principles of Sports Performance Lab, applies strength-training principles and sport-specific design.

Responsibilities include facilitating lectures, engaging students in learning objectives, assessing performance, and mentoring in alignment with GCU’s mission and doctrinal statements.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Masters degree with 18 graduate credits in Health or Exercise Science and NSCA CSCS certification.
• Preferred: Doctorate or MS in Health or Exercise Science and NSCA CSCS certification.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
