Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking an on-call, part-time dorm supervisor in Gulfport, Mississippi. You will guide students, supervise dorm activities, and coordinate with counselors and health staff to support positive living environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successfully pass any background check and drug test required on the contract.
• Ability to obtain & maintain valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• This is an on-call position and subject to working nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain positive and effective relations with students and provide guidance for a positive attitude and proper behavior in the dormitory living environment.
• Supervise, direct, and monitor dorm and student activities, including dorm government and peer court.
• Assist with dorm and recreational activities both on and off Center.
• Transport students, as needed, to and from recreational activities, airports, stores, bus stations, etc.
• Prepare the morning report; pass list, and other administrative correspondence relating to students.
• Direct students and assist in the cleanup and maintenance of the dormitory; complete inspections and communicate needs.
• Conduct group counseling sessions and dorm meetings as scheduled and participate in orientation activities.
• Maintain dormitory and student files; ensure documentation is complete and up to date.
• Participate in student training and evaluate progress as part of interdepartmental teams.
• Serve as CDO when assigned and maintain accountability of students and property.
• Promote a safe, harassment-free Center climate and model appropriate behaviors.
• Assist with monitoring student clothing trips as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate’s degree in counseling, social work, rehabilitation, or related field
