Job summary

ISD 424 is seeking a Substitute Para Professional to assist students with special needs and support teachers in daily lesson plans and activities. The position is on-call for the 2026-2027 school year.

Hours are 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Duties include supervising and supporting PreK-12 students with and without disabilities, and performing related duties as required. Minimum qualifications: AA degree or 60 college credits, or a passing ParaPro score; background check required.

Qualifications

• An A.A. degree or at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (a minimum of 60 semester credits), or a passing score on the ParaPro assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to students with special needs and support teachers in the implementation of daily lesson plans.
• Assists district personnel in supervising and supporting preK-12 grade students with and/or without special needs in a variety of activities.
• Performs other duties of a comparable level or type, as required.
