Job summary

MoDOT is seeking an on-call emergency maintenance equipment operator for snow removal operations at the Columbia Maintenance Facility in Missouri. Hours vary with weather events, with a temporary $3 per hour adjustment during winter operations.

The role involves operating plow trucks, spreading ice control materials, performing routine maintenance, and working under direct supervision. Requires CDL, clean background, and willingness to work overtime or nights as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• CDL Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (EI or NI).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials or to warn oncoming traffic.
• Cleans and performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
