Job summary

Good Shepherd Services seeks an on-call Resident Assistant (RA) to support older or disabled residents in a 24-hour overseen environment. Starting wage is $18.50 per hour, with $1.00 day shift and $4.00 PM/NOC shift differentials.

The RA helps with daily living activities, medications, health monitoring and activity programs in Forest Glen and Shepherd's Inn. The role emphasizes independence and safety, with responsibilities across ADLs, IADLs, dining, medication assistance, and emergency

Qualifications

• Provides assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, hygiene, mobility, and use of assistive devices.
• Provides assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living like housekeeping, laundry, errands, and transportation coordination.
• Assists with medication administration and documentation as needed.
• Monitors resident health and safety, reports changes to supervisor, and conducts rounds and room checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including dressing, bathing, grooming, and mobility.
• Assist with IADLs: housekeeping, laundry, errands, transportation, and mail delivery.
• Provide medication administration support and document administration.
• Observe resident health status and environmental safety, and report findings to supervisor.
• Assist with dining activities, meal service, and kitchen-related tasks as needed.
• Support resident-centered activity programs and transport residents for activities.
