Job summary

Weber School District is seeking a Substitute Nutrition Service Worker for our Ogden schools. These are on-call, 9-month positions within the district's Child Nutrition program.

You will bake, cook from scratch, and prepare food while maintaining safe, sanitary kitchen conditions and interacting with students and staff. The role requires adherence to health standards and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Bakes items to meet projected meal requirements.
• Checks students and staff through the food line to record meals and collect monies.
• Cleans utensils, equipment, storage, preparation and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Cooks food, prepared and from scratch, to meet mandated requirements and meal projections.
• Inspects food items and supplies to verify quantity and specifications per health standards.
• Lifts up to 30 pounds of food and equipment; up to 40 pounds for stocking and serving.
• Monitors kitchen and cafeteria areas to ensure a safe working environment.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to the unit manager.
• Responds to inquiries regarding meals and costs from students, staff, and the public.
• Stocks food, condiments, and supplies to maintain quantities and security.
