Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dependable Substitute Kitchen Helper to support our school food service program on an as-needed basis at the Flandreau School District.

You will help with food preparation, serving students, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and working with different teams to make a positive impact on students' day.

Qualifications

• Flexible, as-needed availability at multiple school locations.
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare/serve food.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Dependability and customer service orientation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Fill in at school kitchens when staff are out to maintain meal service.
• Assist with food prep and serving while following portion and diet guidelines.
• Keep station, storage, and equipment clean and organized; practice FIFO.
• Maintain food safety and complete basic logs.
• Communicate supply needs and updates to team.
• Adapt to different school locations and kitchen environments.
• Assist with training new team members when needed.
