Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend schedules, instructions and labels and respond to questions from staff and public.
• Ability to comprehend and follow safety procedures and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, cafeterias, classrooms, libraries, gymnasiums, hallways, restrooms and other school facilities.
• Clean and maintain furniture, fixtures, floors, walls, windows and other surfaces.
• Dispose of rubbish.
• Clean and sweep sidewalks and outdoor areas as needed.
• Assist with arranging furniture and equipment.
• Assist with general maintenance.
• Provide deep cleaning when school is not in session, including scrubbing and waxing floors, painting and washing surfaces.
• Attend trainings and report safety concerns promptly.
• Coordinate with staff and departments as needed.
• Provide custodial services for school activities and after-hours events.
