Job summary

Ashland School District is seeking a Substitute Custodian to provide custodial support on an as-needed basis, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Duties include cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, restroom care, moving furniture for activities, event setup and teardown, and adherence to district policies. Must lift up to 50 pounds and be ready to respond on short notice.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with floor maintenance, including waxing and buffing, is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps buildings neat and clean at all times.
• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom cleaning.
• Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as needed for school activities or as directed by the building principal or administrator.
• Assists with event setup and teardown as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Adheres to all Board of Education policies and district procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance or building administrators.
