Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver for the 2026-2027 school year in the Cambridge area. You will transport students safely on scheduled routes and field trips, perform daily bus inspections, and maintain order and discipline according to district policies.

Requires a current CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, DMV license, and a High School Diploma or GED. Prior school bus driving experience preferred; at-will, as-needed employment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, road signs.
• Ability to perform pre-trip inspections and drive safely.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus on designated routes and field trips.
• Inspect bus daily for safety and cleanliness.
• Refuel, report issues, and conduct drills as required.
• Maintain supervision and discipline of students on bus.
• Document route timing and reports as needed.
• Ensure all children depart safely at route ends.
