Job summary

Buckingham Browne & Nichols School in Cambridge, MA, seeks part-time, as-needed bus drivers to join our transportation team. The role provides coverage for routes, shuttles, field trips, and athletic events when regular drivers are unavailable, with schedules that vary week to week.

Ideal candidates have a Massachusetts CDL with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake endorsements, a valid DOT card, and a clean driving record. We offer competitive hourly pay and benefits including lunches.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• CDL with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake endorsements required.
• Valid DOT medical card and First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to and from school, field trips, and events.
• Transport sports teams and faculty between campuses as needed.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
• Assist passengers getting on/off the bus.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and report safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
