Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme seeks a Substitute Paraprofessional to assist in classrooms for students with delays, provide basic services, monitor behavior and support instruction. This on-call role runs Monday through Friday with hours 12:00pm–6:00pm and requires flexibility to cover absences.

Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, and may have AA degree or higher; prior experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AA degree or higher preferred.
• Experience with children and classroom instruction is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Help operate a school class under instructor supervision.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist students individually or in small groups.
• Maintain order and assist with transportation and health-related tasks as needed.
• Assist with personal care services and monitoring student behavior.
