Job summary

The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay is seeking a part-time On-Call Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) to perform forensic medical exams for victims aged 13 and older. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care and requires collaboration with the Nursing Manager and SAS Medical Director.

On-call shifts, including evenings and weekends, are required. Qualified candidates hold a Florida RN license and a 4-year degree, with opportunities for additional training and certification.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida and a 4-year degree are required.
• Experience with gynecology, trauma, or sexual assault exams is preferred.
• Knowledge of forensic collection procedures and evidence handling.

Responsibilities

• Take on-call for sexual battery examinations as scheduled.
• Conduct forensic exams for victims 13+ within 120 hours of assault.
• Perform physical assessment and document findings for court use.
• Refer victims to treatment and support services as needed.
• Testify in court and coordinate with law enforcement and prosecutors.
• Maintain adherence to policies and professional standards.
