Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse On-Call in Rochester, MN to provide after-hours urgent care within our 24/7 model. The role offers autonomy, with 7 days on / 7 days off overnight shifts that support a balanced lifestyle while ensuring compassionate end-of-life care.

The RN will respond to triage calls, manage symptom control, adjust care plans, and document outcomes. Current MN RN license and CPR are required, with acute care or hospice/home care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
• Current RN license in state of practice and CPR certification.
• 1+ years of acute care experience; hospice or home care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to triage calls and provide after-hours nursing visits for symptom management, admissions, and care plan updates.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on evolving needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, offering education and support to patients and caregivers.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation of care, outcomes, and communication.

The starting salary range for this role is $88,000-$98,000 annual base salary. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: geographic location, relevant education, applicable certifications, depth of experience, and special skillsets. The total compensation package for this position may also include the opportunity to participate in employee benefits including our medical/dental/vision/pet insurance, disability and life insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) retirement plans, subject to applicable plan terms, and/or eligibility for other compensation.
