Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse On-Call to join our 24/7 care model in Minnesota. You will address urgent patient needs during evenings, nights, and weekends, admit after hours, and provide calm, confident guidance during critical moments.

The 7 days on / 7 days off overnight schedule supports autonomy and work-life balance. Requirements include a nursing degree (Associates/Bachelors/Masters), 1+ year acute care experience, a current RN license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Acute care experience required (1+ year).
• Hospice or home care experience preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to triage calls and provide after-hours nursing visits for symptom management, admissions, and care plan updates.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on evolving needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, with education and support to patients and caregivers.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation of care, outcomes, and communication.
