Job summary

The University of Kentucky HealthCare Retail Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/OnCall for Richmond Retail Pharmacy. This on-call, temporary position supports pharmacists in medicine preparation and prescription fulfillment in a fast-paced, customer-oriented retail setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, good English communication, attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork. KBOP registration required within 30 days; prior pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• KBOP registration within 30 days of hire if not previously registered as a pharmacy technician in KY.
• General chemistry knowledge, basic algebra, and proficient reading/writing/speaking in English preferred.
• Hired candidate must maintain registration with the KY Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in medicine preparation and distribution in a UK HealthCare Retail Pharmacy.
• Fills prescriptions in a busy retail based setting.
