Job summary

Skywalker Holdings, LLC seeks a Residential Security Agent to protect personnel, assets, and information at our Private Estate. You will monitor access control, CCTV, and alarms, respond to incidents, and coordinate with SOC and emergency services as required.

You must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and outdoors, with potential domestic and international travel. Strong teamwork, communication, and discretion are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma and 5 years of prior security, military, or law enforcement background with 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to operate security tools and processes such as access control, CCTV, and communications equipment.
  • Must have a current CCW permit.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in all formats.

Job Overview

The Residential Security Agent (RSA) plays an essential role in the overall security program and will be responsible for the safety and security of personnel, assets, facilities, and information for the company and at our Private Estate. The RSA will monitor a variety of technologies, including access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems, to provide security services and threat elimination. The officer will respond to security‑related incidents, medical crises, safety incidents, natural disasters, and other emergencies and dispatch security officers, police, fire, EMS personnel, and other services, as required. The officer will be responsible for constantly touring, observing, and maintaining perimeter security of the property and providing a physical presence at all times. Duties and responsibilities also include investigating incidents, escalating situations to appropriate parties in the Security Operations Center (SOC), filing incident reports, and other related protective duties. Additionally, the Agent is responsible for the effective and efficient processing of all information relevant to the security operation, which includes but is not limited to: effective distribution of phone calls, executing and receiving notifications, effective distribution and action of all information received electronically via email, intranet, service requests, shift activity logs, and incident reports.

As an RSA, you may be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and a considerable amount of time outdoors; you may also be required to travel domestically and internationally. Applicants should be in good overall physical, mental, and emotional condition, have a reputation as a team player, and be willing to work long hours with ever‑changing schedules.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Patrol the property perimeter.
  • Monitor, test, and respond to intrusion and other alarm systems at multiple locations.
  • Use closed‑circuit TV (CCTV) video surveillance systems to confirm the status of security systems and confirm the authorization of individuals requesting access to any secure area.
  • Monitors and operates computer systems effectively. Takes appropriate action.
  • Responds and/or dispatches security staff as appropriate and issues equipment.
  • Handle security issues or emergencies appropriately, and contact local emergency responders: police, fire dept., EMT’s.
  • Assists shift supervisors in the deployment of security personnel and security personnel activities.
  • Documents and investigates security events and incidents.
  • Reports safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual activity both verbally and in writing.
  • Builds, improves, and maintains effective communication and relationships with co‑workers, staff, subcontractors, vendors, and guests.
  • Communicates effectively with staff, guests, and employees via radio, telephone, email, and in person.
  • Fully participates in training and certification programs to enhance your ability/effectiveness.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with our security operations manuals, post orders, policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Has experience and effectively uses Microsoft products such as Word, Excel & PowerPowerPoint.
  • Remains flexible to an ever‑changing environment and adapts well to different situations.
  • Has the ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure or stressful situations, calmly and professionally.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, privacy, and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of prior security, military, or law enforcement background with 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Possess strong computer skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively operate and manage security tools and processes. Systems include but are not limited to access control, intrusion alarm systems, CCTV, and communications equipment.
  • Must have a current CCW permit.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are required in both the written and verbal formats, in all delivery formats (i.e., in‑person, via radio, via telephone, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment and the ability to work independently.
  • Neat and professional appearance.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Requires the ability to walk up to 2 miles and 3 flights of stairs.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for 80% of the day.
