Job summary

Bay Area Community Services seeks an On-Call Residential Counselor to support participants in residential treatment programs, helping them achieve the highest level of self-sufficiency and successful community reintegration.

Programs operate 24/7 across Fremont, Hayward, Vallejo, Oakland, Berkeley, Antioch, and Richmond. The role requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year in mental health, and a CA driver’s license with proof of insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year related experience in mental health field required.
• Valid California driver's license, personal vehicle, and proof of insurance; DMV printout required.
• Must meet Community Care Licensing requirements: pass physical exam, TB test, DOJ fingerprint clearance, and Red Cross First Aid/CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants in residential treatment programs to achieve self-sufficiency and community reintegration.
• Support participants across 24/7 residential programs located in Fremont, Hayward, Vallejo, Oakland, Berkeley, Antioch, and Richmond.
