Job summary

Continuum Hospice & Palliative Care Massachusetts seeks a Per Diem On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate care to hospice patients and families during critical moments, with a focus on assessment, coordination, and support.

The position offers 4:30 pm–8:00 am on-call coverage for Boston and South Shore areas, requiring RN licensure, 1 year of medical-surgical/acute care experience (hospice a plus), EMR proficiency, and CPR certification as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Hold current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum one (1) year experience as an RN in a medical surgical/acute care setting; hospice experience a plus.
• Must be computer proficient with typing and various programs, including EMR.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification if required by state.

• Be the Lifeline: Respond to a variety of patient needs, from urgent to routine, unwavering support in critical moments.
• Provide Empathetic and Heartfelt Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Maintain Accurate Documentation: Ensure high-quality care in patient homes and within agency/regulatory standards.
• Provide Support for Families: Guide and support families caring for terminally ill loved ones.

Pay

$41.00 - $52.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
