Job summary

The Kaiser Permanente RN in Portland, OR participates as a member of the health care team to deliver quality nursing care to Health Plan members and other patients. The role uses the nursing process and leadership skills to address acute and chronic needs under the supervision of a designated supervisor.

Responsibilities include evidence-based care, patient education, coordination with interdisciplinary teams, and safe, compassionate service within KP policies and HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years RN experience in the last five years.
• Chemotherapy infusion experience required (minimum six months).
• Oncology nursing experience required (minimum six months).

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, culturally sensitive nursing care.
• Plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate a plan of care across the care continuum.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing education.
