Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Staff Technologist in Diagnostic Radiology to provide patient services using imaging modalities and to perform diagnostic procedures. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Competency in imaging practice as appropriate.
• ARRT registration or eligibility; SCRQSA licensure; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient services using imaging modalities, performs diagnostic procedures.
• Applies principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle.
• Exerts professional judgment in the performance of procedures and provides patient care essential to imaging procedures.
• Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures.
• Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and Medical Staff.
• Performs imaging services on call as needed.
