Gulf Coast Village, a Subsidiary of Volunteers of America, is seeking a PRN on-call Physical Therapy Assistant in Cape Coral, FL. The PTA will deliver skilled treatments under a licensed PT, promoting mobility and quality of life for residents in a continuing care setting.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program, current FL PTA license, and CPR certification. Prior SNF or rehab experience and Medicare knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing within the state of practice.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, post-acute, or rehab setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare Parts A and B and managed care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide physical therapy treatments as outlined in the plan of care.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, gait, balance, transfers, strengthening, and mobility activities.
• Monitor resident responses and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Document daily treatment sessions and progress per regulatory and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, rehab and interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.
• Educate residents and families on exercises, safety, and mobility recommendations.
• Maintain treatment areas, equipment and supplies in a safe and organized manner.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, HIPAA and compliance standards.
• Complete daily treatment notes and progress reporting in a timely manner.
• Experience with Net Health documentation software is preferred.
