Job summary

Greystar in Savannah, GA is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the property's buildings, grounds, and amenities to meet safety and quality standards. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with rotating on-call.

Primary duties include completing work orders, making the make-ready for vacant units, managing inventory, and timely documentation. EPA certifications and a valid driver’s license are required; onsite housing discounts may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance and preventative maintenance practices.
• Ability to diagnose and repair building systems while following safety procedures.
• Effective communication and ability to document work orders clearly.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance on the property.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and creating punch lists.
• Tracks inventory, secures materials, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service activities accurately to ensure proper recordkeeping and tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
