Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Point-of-care testing in certain units may be required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements and coordinates patient care with physicians and staff.
• Uses nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Documents care plans, observations, and pertinent information.
• Maintains narcotics/equipment accountability on tour.
• Adheres to infection control procedures and HIPAA.
• Provides direction to LPNs and CNAs and participates in staff orientation.
• Performs rounds to ensure continuity of care.
