Job summary

Aviagen is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support poultry facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across farm buildings, utilities, and support systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will work with farm management to uphold safety, biosecurity, environmental stewardship, and animal welfare standards in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in maintenance within agriculture, farming, poultry, construction, or mechanical maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, diagrams, and technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on poultry houses, hatchery buildings, storage facilities, and other agricultural structures.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain agricultural equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify maintenance opportunities to reduce failures.
• Assist with on-call or emergency maintenance as needed.
• Follow safety policies, LOTO procedures, biosecurity protocols, and PPE requirements.
