Job summary

Planned Companies is looking for friendly Janitors and Custodians to provide comprehensive cleaning services for common areas and bathrooms at properties in the San Francisco/Oakland area. You will ensure tenants, guests, and vendors have a clean, healthy, and safe environment, while remaining polite, thorough, and observant of additional needs for exceptional service.

The role emphasizes standing for long periods, ability to lift 50+ lbs, teamwork or independent work, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Experience with cleaning products and equipment.
• Team player or able to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
• Stripping, buffing and waxing floors of various types.
• Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
• Scrubbing and sanitizing bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
• Emptying trash cans and washing/drying windows.
• Requesting cleaning supply orders, reporting breakages and needed repairs.
• Assisting building management with all projects and other duties as requested.
