On-Call Pilot Plant Technician (Part-Time)

Pay Range : $22/Hr. – $25/Hr. | Shift : On-Call Monday–Thursday | Type : Part‑Time | Compensation : USD 22 – USD 25 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Apply GMP/GLP principles in all areas of responsibility.
- Keep the pilot plant clean, sanitary, safe, and well‑organized.
- Assist in the execution of pilot plant projects under supervisor direction.
- Support Process Development staff with receipt, storage, weighing, and preparation of products and samples for testing.
- Help with labeling, packaging, and shipping of products.
- Follow SOPs, SMs, and protocols.
- Maintain pilot plant equipment and documentation as required by GLP and GMP programs.
- Manage inventory of equipment parts, laboratory supplies, and cleaning supplies.
- Perform duties accurately to achieve quality results.
- Collaborate with product and process development staff to meet objectives.
- Identify and communicate equipment and facility improvement options/issues to the supervisor.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned (e.g., grocery shopping, cleaning refrigerators, and storage areas).
- Operate safely and efficiently, ensuring a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED; one or more years of college or technical training preferred.
- Basic mechanical repair and cleaning equipment skills.
- Food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical pilot plant or manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Team‑oriented, quick learner, energetic, upbeat, and positive.

Other Factors
- Overtime and weekend work as plants require.

- Required protective gear: hearing protection, eye protection, proper footwear, lab coat, hair nets, and gloves.
- Ability to safely operate propane and electrical forklift trucks, climb ladders, frequently lift, carry, or push materials.
