Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing is seeking a Lab Support Associate to help maintain cleanliness and supply levels in the laboratory. The shift is Sunday through Thursday, 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Responsibilities include assisting with sample preparation, inventory management, and basic lab operations. Must have a HS diploma and be able to work overtime, weekends, and some holidays; able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Able to stand for approx 8 hour shift.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends and occasional holidays.
• Able to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and supply levels in lab.
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Cleans, dries, and stores glassware for laboratory use.
• Disposes of waste solutions.
• Retrieves washroom acids and solvents.
• Cleans and maintains glassware areas.
• Learns simple laboratory operations such as media production.
• Learns and uses inventory and ordering system for lab supplies.
• Assists with receiving and placing lab supplies in proper place.
• Performs sample preparation.
• Assists with sample registration as needed.
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Description

• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Clean, dry, and store glassware for laboratory use
• Dispose of waste solutions
• Retrieve washroom acids and solvents
• Clean and maintain glassware areas
• Learn simple laboratory operations such as media production
• Learn and use inventory and ordering system for lab supplies
• Assist with receiving and placing lab supplies in proper place
• Perform sample preparation
• Assist with sample registration as needed
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, weekends and occasional holidays
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Able to work both independently and in a team.
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Able to handle fast paced, high through-put environment and potential stress
• Able to handle food testing and everything that entails (smells, rotting food, etc)
• Able to stand for approx 8 hour shift
• Able to perform repetitive tasks consistently and accurately
