Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide on-call, PRN support under supervision in our Westminster Suncoast location in St. Petersburg, FL.

The PTA will assist with care plans and support the therapy team to deliver high-quality resident care. The role requires an AA degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, licensure where required by law, and 2 years of healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• AA Degree from an APTA accredited program. Licensure where required by law.
• Two (2) years experience in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for carrying out Care Plan as designed by the Physical Therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT during evaluations.
• Monitor resident’s progress and communicate with PT.
• Maintain documentation in system of resident’s activities, record progress and document billing activities.
• Perform Resident’s Home Assessment as part of the discharge process as directed by the PT.
• Perform Resident’s screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy as directed by the PT.
