Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures; this includes drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm/verify orders using lab tech systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data; data entry is essential.
• Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and assist with statistics and data submissions.
