Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Falls Church, VA seeks a Phlebotomist II for an on-call schedule. You will collect specimens, process samples, and verify orders using our lab systems to ensure accurate patient results.

The role requires three years of phlebotomy experience, data entry skills, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays. On-site duties include inventory and non-patient tasks, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver''s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
