Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for an on-call position in Alexandria, VA. The role involves collecting specimens (drug screens, biometric screenings), entering data, and ensuring accurate order verification using lab systems.

This position requires 3 years of phlebotomy experience and the ability to work weekends/holidays on a flexible schedule. Applicants should have a high school diploma; medical training or phlebotomy certification is preferred and may be required in certain

Competenze

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transport, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Mansioni

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, restocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
